Patricio Tamariz is a native of Bahía de Caráquez, a city located on the central coast of Ecuador. He lived in the United States for 17 years and returned to his country where he discovered the charms of its natural and cultural resources. This made him passionate about developing sustainable tourism in his country.
- He directed the tourism promotion of Ecuador participating and leading the missions in more than 89 international events.
- He has participated in the evolution of destination development planning and tourism marketing in Ecuador.
- He was a senior expert in the team of consultants of the International Technical Assistance Project of the European Union to design the Sustainable Tourism Development Plan for the Equatorial Pacific Destination post-earthquake.
- It is a promoter in designing regional tourist spaces, based on sustainable management, creating Destination Management Organizations to implement their development and marketing plans with their own funds.
